Mr. Brassel is an experienced trial attorney concentrating his practice on products and professional liability and toxic torts.  He is currently lead counsel in numerous professional liability trials and is National Counsel for several clients involved in multijurisdiction toxic tort litigation.  He also serves as a mediator and settlement conference officer for the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County and was awarded the Presidents Award and the Outstanding Service Award for his participation in these volunteer programs.

He graduated from Wake Forest University (B.B.A. 1971), where he received the Wall Street Journal Award for his achievements in the undergraduate business school.  He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Baltimore School of Law (J.D. 1975), where he also served as Editor of the Law Review.

Mr. Brassel is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association and is admitted to the United States District Court for the District of Maryland and the U.S. Court of Appeals Fourth and Sixth Circuits.  He is a Fellow of the Maryland Bar Foundation, a Member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, a Member of the President's Club of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, a sustaining Member of the Maryland Trial Lawyers Association, and has been recognized for this skill by inclusion in the Martindale-Hubbell Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers and as one of Maryland's "Super Lawyers" for 2007.
